If elected, what are your plans for office?
Lead ADA in efforts to be recognized as the preeminent organization engaged in issues to improve the health and wellbeing of Americans.
Lead the process of a strategic plan roadmap and the utilization of analytical data from the family of measures to evaluate tactical success.
Drive ADA to operational neutrality.
Direct and support ADA staff leadership in process management.
Give an example of how you successfully led a team to accomplish an objective/goal.
As Treasurer and Chair-Finance and Audit Committee we successfully brought protocol to the vetting process to ensure consistency in member programs and services enhancing membership value and empowering members to be leaders in food and nutrition. In this context we also developed a rubric to prioritize unfunded projects which was used by the BOD to determine the projects to be funded when funding became available.
Describe your most fulfilling leadership experience.
The Marilyn Magaram Center for Food Science, Nutrition & Dietetics, a 501c3 organization, our mission is improving the quality of life of our communities through enhancing food and nutrition knowledge of students, professionals, and families. During my tenure as the Center Executive Director we have raised over a million dollars and converted those funds into programs and services that support the fight of overcoming health disparities in under served populations in our communities.
